Corporate Social Responsibility

On initiative of Crédit Agricole Group Crédit Agricole Serbia has joined the global trend of active involvement in Sustainable Development, Corporate Social Responsibility and Global Compact.

In January 2009 Sustainable Development Department was founded within Human Resources Division.

Considering that sustainable development encompasses an array of very interesting areas and topics, regular reporting about them is one of the ways to inform clients about our activities in this area.

What is Sustainable Development?

Sustainable development is development which satisfies the needs of today, without jeopardizing capacity of future generations to satisfy their own needs.

Also, it is an integral economic, technological, social and cultural development, harmonized with needs to protect and to improve the environment, which enables current and future generations to satisfy their needs and to improve the quality of life.

Our Bank is part of the local community, and thus it influences it in many various visible, but also subtle ways.

There is no large company in Serbia which is isolated from the community in which it lives and operates, and companies are made out of people – the same people who live in those local communities.

Priorities of the Bank in This Period

One of the priorities of the Bank is better and more viable integration into the local community, better relationship with our clients both internal and external, and as one of the strategic goals for year 2012 Crédit Agricole Serbia has an ambition and a plan to become one of the best employers in the Serbian market.

Every ambition and every great and significant goal starts with exactly that crucial first step. More depends on the commitment of people working to achieve the goal and on positive attitude to see problems and obstacles as challenges than it seems at first glance.

The Bank has made that first step, when on initiative of the President of its Executive Board Mr. Francois-Edouard Drion it convened its first Committee for Sustainable Development and set the foundations of our future development.

The adopted Procedure of sustainable development which is harmonized with the Code of Sustainable Development of Crédit Agricole Group and Sustainable Development Strategy of the Republic of Serbia.

Two more important documents have been adopted: Procedure of Corporate Social Responsibility and Procedure for Assigning Sponsorships and Donations.

Full support for projects is present both at the level of top management and on level of the group.
